One World (Not Three!)

I wonder if PM Najib was a fan of the Police? As I was listening to some of the Police classics tonight suddenly I remembered the song One World (from the album Ghost In The Machine) and I can’t help thinking if Najib got the idea of 1Malaysia after listening to this song?

This tune has a political message with strong reggae beat just like any other ska bands in the 80s. I remembered memorising the dance steps Sting had for this song and probably the only time I tried emulating it in my room during my school days. The song certainly has one of the best drumming by Stewart Copeland, probably the most under-rated drummer in the rock world.

Najib could be a dangdut kaki for all I know, dangdut is after all reggae beat UMNO style. Heck, there was also a Bakso song called dangdut reggae at one time!haha.
