I called up Geericho one morning early this week. No pick up. I called him again after lunch. Guess what, he just woke up. I was made to understand that they pulled an all nighter to meet some work deadlines. And this is the place I would be attached to till early next year.
So much so for Xmas and New Year. I doubt there would be any fun the next 3 months or so. When you pull an all nighter like that, you feel bluesy and your entire timing get screwed up. Soon Geericho blues will be my ringin in my head too. I don’t know if I still can do this, though I can say I have been there done that.
Oh well we all have t do what we have to do, it’s called survival. Just bite the damn bullet, haha.
Just got back from the doctor today. Well as soon as I walked in to the doc’s room he said, ” you are a 3 star general!”. It is something I wasn’t looking forward to hear. My heart began to beat faster.
Dr Ravi told me to calm down. He was being open. He said the readings of my blood test basically indicate that I have Thalassemia minor. I need to take more iron for the lack of haemoglobin in my blood systems. Basically it was genitcally inherited blood disorder.
My sugar intake is on the borderline. More effort required to bring it down. I have moderate cholesterol problem, but I do have a major problem with uric acid intake. It is causing me occasional , warmth, pain, and inflammation in my joints.
Well, the vital signs are all there, from now on I guess with the aid of supplements and proper food intake and diet I do hope to improve. It is not gonna be an easy task; a rock head will always be a rock head you know what I mean
I am feeling kinda top of the world lately. A real feel good feeling. It sure feels like I am leaving my friends behind. Opportunities hit you once in a while and you have to grab it while you can.
I have been doing lotsa selling you may say. Sometimes you don’t realise what talents you have till you do it. I do think my partner in crime Albert Wu certainly has played a big part in the confidence that I have right now. I think when you are down but not out, you appear to be somewhat a desperado and that is the time you tend to excel in whatever you do. That’s probably the criteria I am looking for for a biz partner in this new biz venture.
Well I shall not dwell much into it right now, I guess in near future I will explain further the new biz in its entirety. For now, for my friends I am leaving behind especially Nazri, all I want to say is it is kinda Lonely At The Top. Come join me, you will not regret it
Taking this opportunity to wish all my beloved Muslim friends Selamat Aidil Fitri maaf zahir dan batin.
Kumpul segala dosa lagi satu tahun dan Tahun depan boleh mintak maaf lagi. . Nampak gaya melepas lah tak dapat rasa ketupat rendang. Makan Nasi lemak banyak sangat kot, haha.
Sprawling on the fringes of the city
In geometric order
An insulated border
In between the bright lights
And the far unlit unknown
Growing up it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future pre-decided
Detached and subdivided
In the mass production zone
Nowhere is the dreamer or the misfit so alone
(Subdivisions)
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
(Subdivisions)
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out
Any escape might help to smooth the unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth
Drawn like moths we drift into the city
The timeless old attraction
Cruising for the action
Lit up like a firefly
Just to feel the living night
Some will sell their dreams for small desires
Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory of lighted streets on quiet nights…
Well four teams from EPL eyeing for top 4 positions and Liverpool doesn’t seem like one of them after the 3-0 lost against Man City at Eastland last Monday.
Man City has showed obvious gaps in the first 11 of the Reds. My observation says Reds need total revamp right from defence to strikeforce. Yes it is still too early, but I have lost all faith in the current line up. As it is we are almost there at relegation zone way too soon. A draw or a defeat against West Bromwich Albion this coming weekend would add uncessary pressure on the recuperating team.
“…..Starting all over again is gonna be rough, so rough But we’re gonna make it” …. (I hope!!)
I can totally relate to this song. I haven’t done drugs but I can understand the desire to feel COMFORTABLY NUMB…. not to feel any pain, no to feel anything whatsoever… sometimes life just hurts and it is so stressful
Legendary Pink Floyd with what is regarded as one of rock’s greatest ever guitar solo performance. And I become Comfortably Numb….
You can only miss someone when they are not around. Till that happens, you won’t know what you are really missing. It will be a about a month before Inna gets back. I guess all I want to say is get here if you can.
Musicians from different cultures uniting together for the common purpose of peace through music is a powerful statement. For the past four years Playing For Change has traveled the world with a mobile recording studio and cameras in search of such inspiration. Throughout the journey we created a family of over 100 musicians from all walks of life. We connect these musicians together with “Songs Around The World.” Now people everywhere can witness first hand the transformational power of music and love that comes from the Playing For Change Band.
Talking about change, for a change, Liverpool has started to play, haha. The new team that drew with Arsenal looks OK, I can’t complain with the draw with having played with 10 men for half the match. New coach, new line-up, new tactics and new spirit what more can I ask for?
Country needs to change. We have to move on, evolve if you hate the word reform. New slogan of 1Malaysia but same bullshit we need to change I say!
The whole world is changing. Climate is changing too, as it is getting a little too hot for me.
Picture this. Dire Straits coming out from the stereo. Song “Tunnel of Love”. Time about 7ish just before dinner. I was just resting and here comes HM. And I told her…
Me : I miss you very much. I don’t know why I keep thinking about you more and more these days.
HM : Are you sure? You see me everyday!
Me : Yes sure. I think as days go by, you keep growing in me. I don’t know why. Amazing. (ayat power they say, haha)
HM : (Laughing and giggling, like I was just bullshitting!) OK OK tell me what do you want?
Me : Nothing really. I just want to express myself. But at the same time I am very worried.
HM : Worried? Why worry ? (Just like the title of another Dire Straits number!)
Me : Because when I am in love I tend to do a lot of stupid things.
HM : You say loving someone is stupid?
Me : Yeah to some extend It makes me wanna buy and shower things stupidly.
HM : Hahahahaha….can I have my Braun Buffel handbag now? hahaha…
Me : Sure sure you can. But that would mean quota for the next 2 years fullfilled, hahahaha.
End of Conversation
Why Worry
Baby I see this world has made you sad
Some people can be bad
The things they do, the things they say
But baby I’ll wipe away those bitter tears
I’ll chase away those restless fears
That turn your blue skies into grey
Why worry, there should be laughter after the pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now
Baby when I get down I turn to you
And you make sense of what I do
I know it isn’t hard to say
But baby just when this world seems mean and cold
Our love comes shining red and gold
And all the rest is by the way
Why worry, there should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now — Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits)
So, no, do not say if you are not with us then you are against us. That is a line borrowed from President Bush. Look at the bigger picture. It is not just about kicking out Umno the political party. It is about convincing the uncommitted Malays that we are not their enemy. Hence our arguments as to why we must vote ABU must not give an impression that ABU (a […]
Like I said, it is not the 6 million Unique Visitors that I am monitoring but the NEW visitors. We need to reach new readers -- the not yet committed or still undecided. And if Malaysia Today is merely a platform to let off steam and to curse Umno, Barisan Nasional, the Malays, Islam, the Indians, Hindraf, and whatnot, then the only people who are going to v […]
We want to know more than just who is winning the popularity contest. We want to know from both Najib and Anwar what are their strategies to make Malaysia self-sufficient in food production and how long is this going to take? We also want to know what are the back-up plans and contingencies in the event there is crop failure in our neighbouring countries and […]
I have written about the Menteri Besar of Kedah way before the March 2008 general election and before the MB became the MB. The story I wrote was about how he told a closed-door meeting of PAS members that Anwar Ibrahim is not really innocent of the charges against him. In other words, Anwar is guilty of sodomy as charged. NO HOLDS BARRED Raja Petra Kamarudi […]
Today, Hang Li Po, Hang Tuah, etc., are debunked. Tomorrow, it could be others whom are said to have also existed will be debunked. And, for thousands of years, millions of people have been killed for not believing in events that never happened and in people who never existed. NO HOLDS BARRED Raja Petra Kamarudin History books to stick to facts ‘Hang Li Po, […]
This is my final essay for my Oxford course, Philosophy of Religion (limit 1,000 words). I thought I would share it with you to give you a better idea into why I am so unpredictable and unconventional. I know many religionists, never mind what religion you may believe in, will disagree with my views. Well, that is your problem, not mine. NO HOLDS BARRED Raja […]
And no, I am not saying that NST distorted my interview, which is the first thing you will say I am trying to do. To be fair to my friend, Jalil, he did publish the verbatim transcripts, as I stipulated he do so. What I am saying is that many of you did not read the transcripts. You only read the headlines -- man bites dog – and jumped to conclusions. NO HOL […]
You talk about the first BERSIH march of November 2007 and how that turned the tide that eventually saw the opposition win big in March 2008. Do you know that many in UMNO were supportive of BERSIH? Do you know I had many meetings with UMNO people on how to make the BERSIH march a success? Ronnie Liu can confirm this. He met some of these UMNO people in the […]
Yes, in their eagerness to prove me wrong (that the building cost RM30 million and not RM60 million), they raised other and more important issues -- not telling us where the money came from, not telling us how much money was collected, not telling us since the money was not in Umno’s account then whose account it was in, not telling us how they obtained the […]
